I love to paint landscapes featuring the Haliburton Highlands area, where I live in the summer. In the winter, I live in Florida, where I have started painting “plein air” (outdoors).
Over the past couple of years, I have continued my art studies with some notable artists, Gordon Harrison (renowned Ottawa artist), Ian Roberts (fabulous landscape artist originally from Ontario) and local artist Harvey Walker. These talented artists have been a great influence on me, as I continue to evolve in finding my artistic voice.
Within the last couple of years, I have returned to oil as my primary medium, and I’m learning how to incorporate bolder strokes and colour into my paintings.In 2024, I am being mentored by John David Anderson, a fabulous artist who paints impressionist landscapes of the beautiful nature in Ontario.In addition to my paintings, I have limited edition prints and greeting cards for sale. They can be picked up at my studio on Kennisis Lake, or mailed to you. They are priced affordably, and would make great gifts.
