BOOKAPALOOZA 2023
took place on September 15 and 16 at the Minden Curling Club
A celebration of Haliburton's vibrant literary community

Bookapalooza is an annual celebration of storytelling in all its genres and all its forms promoting literacy for people of all ages and abilities.

Readers and writers and industry pros come together from near and far to share their books, gifts, services, and talents with Haliburton County’s residents and visitors.  There were educational, diverse, and entertaining presentations.

The Big Book Club kicked off the event with Lawrence Hill.   This was followed by an all-day Readers and Writers Expo with 50 plus exhibitors of products of interest to readers and writers. Join in on the vibrant discussions that happen on the half hour all day long in the presentation room! The Childrens Book Nook was the place to be for the younger crowd, with 4 amazing children’s authors doing readings during the day. A Storybook Stroll with Heather O’Connor as she old the tale of the Ojibwe horses being saved from extinction.
