Artist Inspiration
During the Covid pandemic, children were confined to their homes unable to go to school and interact with their friends. They were devoid of social contact for 2 years. My painting, “Kids Being Kids”, is a visual image of children playing outside and enjoying social contact along with physical activity. Since the removal of Covid restrictions, children are experiencing a complete renewal of social norms.
Artist Bio
Janet Bradley is a local Haliburton artist. While driving around beautiful Haliburton County she is on full alert, constantly noticing the shades of green in the adjacent foliage and images that present themselves as potential paintings. In the early 90’s, she began folk art painting but quickly realized that painting real subjects and landscapes was her passion. Working mostly with oils and sometimes with acrylics, she embraces the challenges of landscape paintings but her real love is painting animals and birds. She is a member of Harvey Walker’s art group and has taken numerous courses at HSAD and online courses.
She has come to realize that painting is a never ending learning curve.
