AUTHOR
Born 1990 and raised in Oshawa, Ontario, Alex writes fiction that wanders the borderlands between folk horror, magical realism, dark fantasy, and the psychological. Alex has written three books (Meshkwadoon: Book 1, Meshkwadoon: Book 2, and Mr. Strong) and will be publishing his fourth (Sefira's Gloom) October 10, 2026. He has also had short stories included in indie anthologies and publications.
Before self-publishing, Alex spent years devouring everything from The Lord of the Rings to Shakespeare, Anne Rice, poetry, and Jane Austen. He was is in the Canadian Armed Forces for five years, where he had the opportunity to earn his humanities degree while working full-time in his trade. He wrote as a hobby when he was in his teens, but the drive to write a full book didn't come to him until 2019. When not writing, Alex is usually buried in research on mythology, religion, occult traditions, and the supernatural, which has fed the growing shadow of his current dark fantasy novel, Sefira’s Gloom.
