Hope Thompson is a licensed PI, a playwright, screenwriter, an award-winning filmmaker, and a crime fiction and true crime writer. Working with Crimehub and Whereabouts Unknown, Hope has written numerous true crime podcast scripts. Her plays have been produced in Canada and the US. and published in anthologies, including by Playwrights Canada Press. For the screen, her short mystery films have been screened and broadcast internationally, and she has several film and television credits, including writing for CBC’s Baroness Von Sketch Show. In 2026, Hope's first book, Dark Thoughts & Other Stories, was published by DarkWinter Press.
