LEWIS-DALY, LINDA
AUTHOR

Linda, a member of the Northern Eagle Campers Association, began camping on Kashagawigamog Lake in 1968 and is now a seasonal resident. Her interest in local history and early settlement inspired research into tourism on the Kashagawigamog chain of lakes, as well as the people and places that first attracted visitors to Haliburton County. Historic images, resort and camp descriptions, and stories illustrate the long-lasting impact that summer resorts had on the lives of their owners, employees, and guests. This book offers insight into Haliburton’s tourist industry while preserving the histories of many early tourism operators on the five-lake chain.
