About the event
Description: Just  as photographers find the extraordinary in the ordinary  by exploiting available angles, incorporating contrasting light,  uncovering shadows, or by drawing your eye to the unexpected, writers  can do the same thing using words. Incorporating similar techniques into  writing, explore photographs and everyday imagery,  and familiar experiences and people in unique and interesting ways that  will help develop and create captivating short stories. Using  photographs as a starting point for short stories is a unique and  effective way to alleviate a new writer's inhibitions and  help seasoned writers overcome writer's block. Because photographs and  imagery initiate thought and provoke feeling, they intuitively evoke a  compelling story just waiting to be told. Instruction is suitable for  new and experienced writers.
