Threads of Connection! Join us on December 4 at 1pm at the West Guilford Community Centre for a Visual Artists and Artisans Roundtable.
An initiative through the Arts Council of Haliburton, Threads of Connection is a gathering for textile artists, crafters and creatives, to meet & mingle, exchange ideas, and share resources and inspiration.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just exploring the world of textiles, this gathering is for you!
Our December event is all about demonstrations of creative work and a textile swap. We have lined up three demonstrators who will simultaneously share their art/craft with those present. There will be opportunity to watch, ask questions and in some cases give it a try yourself.
The demonstrations this time include thread painting, natural & eco dyeing, and quilt design using rulers. Along with this, we are suggesting a textile swap of fabric, threads, yarns, patterns, trims, buttons, books…
