About the event

  • Join us for a  documentary that features Black Porters who worked on Canada’s railways’  sleeper cars from the 1900s to the 1960s. The screening takes place at  the Welch Room and it’s free for everyone. The  film is provided courtesy of the NFB.Looking for an opportunity to learn more about Black history in Canada? Note that the screening will take place at the Dysart Branch of the Haliburton County Public Library (78 Maple Ave., Haliburton).
