About the event
In August this year (August 22-31), Dance Happens Here Haliburton (DH³) and the Haliburton Sculpture Forest will be welcoming dancer/choreographer Mairéad Filgate and singer, songwriter, harpist Shannon Kingsbury as artists in residence at the Haliburton Sculpture Forest for 10 days of collaboration, experimentation, dance, music and presentation.
They will be working with local artists in a variety of ways including music composition, sound art, visual art, dance, song, poetry and storytelling. The artists will be using impressions from people about the Sculpture Forest and the forest itself as inspiration for their work, part of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Sculpture Forest.
