In lieu of Mishaabooz’s Realm we will be presenting Regeneration:  an innovative evening of theatrical storytelling combining vocal,  percussion and electro-acoustic music entwined with dance and painting  to present a new understanding of an ancient story.

Regeneration is inspired by the northern Mexican legend of the bone-gathering woman, ‘La Loba‘  (Wolf Woman). In this multi-textured work, designed and directed by  Valerie Kuinka, artists gather bones to assemble a skeleton. The spirit  of ‘La Loba‘ begins her magic; singing, dancing, painting and  playing instruments until the bones refresh themselves and a new woman  arises.
