Needle Felting Workshop - Threads of Connection

Join the Arts Council for a needle felting workshop where you will create a small felt landscape.

Our first Threads of Connection workshop is Needle Felting and will be held on Monday, February 2 at the Stanhope Community Centre, 10:00 am – 3:00pm.

Sandi Luck will lead the workshop which is geared for beginners and folks who have some knowledge of this craft.

We will be making a small landscape, 5” by 7”, starting by creating the background with 3 or 4 colours as a base. Sandi will share information about the materials and the best way to use them. Once the basic background is established, you will add small bits of various coloured roving to highlight the background.

Once this is done, we will begin to build on the landscape with buildings, fences, gardens, clouds, birds, etc. using a variety of materials, including more roving, embroidery floss, netting, ribbon,…
