About the event

Hike Haliburton 2026 – Sept 17, 18, 19, 20

Established in 2003, the Hike Haliburton Festival is Canada’s largest hiking festival!

Online Registration starts August 17th at 8:30 am and is required to join a guided hike.

Experience the beauty of the Haliburton Highlands during the Hike Haliburton Festival, taking place September 17–20, 2026. The festival features a wide variety of guided hikes and outdoor experiences for all ages and ability levels, led by knowledgeable local guides. There are a mix of free and ticketed experiences at various locations across the Haliburton Highlands.

Participants can explore forests, lakes, wetlands, scenic lookouts, and community trails while learning about local nature, history, geology, art, and culture. Programming typically includes easy family walks, interpretive hikes, paddling experiences, photography-focused outings, wellness hikes, and more challenging adventures for experienced hikers.
