Description: The Minden Hills Cultural Centre will host a free screening of Earth to Mouth (2003) on Thursday, April 2 at 1:00 PM. The film follows the planting, tending, and harvesting of Asian vegetables grown in an Ontario farm for Chinese markets and restaurants, and tells the story of farmer Lau King-Fai, his family, and the migrant Mexican workers who help run the farm. Through their lives, the documentary explores food, migration, cultural identity, and the connections between land and livelihood. Presented in collaboration with the Haliburton County Public Library, this screening is open to all ages. Admission is free. No pre-registration is required.
