Bookapalooza!

Bestselling author Linwood Barclay is the Bookapalooza featured author at the Minden Community Centre on July 13.   Linwood will be live and onstage at the Big Book Club, part of a day devoted to writers and readers in the Haliburton Highlands.

Noon to 5:30, Free Admission to the Exhibit hall -- browse books, meet authors, chat with editors, illustrators, publishers and writing organizations, enjoy specialty Mocktails, check out the door prizes and nab some giveaways and info.

3 p.m. New York Times bestselling author, Linwood Barclay, in conversation with me. Linwood has more than 7 million copies of his books sold worldwide but doesn't forget his beginnings as a unpublished writer. He'll share stories of his career, from a popular humour columnist with the Toronto Star, to hugely successful thriller writer, who counts Stephen King as a fan. Tickets $25

6 p.m. Dinner with the author. An intimate meet and greet followed by a three-course dinner in the Boathouse room at the historic Dominion Hotel in downtown Minden. Eight tables of four plus one published author at each table.
