SHARON KENNEDY
VICE CHAIR
Originally from Uxbridge, Sharon has been very active in local arts, culture & heritage organizations and events for many years – from studio and garden tours to music and art festivals. Professionally, she has managed festivals and worked with several non- profit and tourism organizations, both as a board member and an executive director. Sharon helped establish two National Historic Sites as arts & culture museums. As a founder of the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario, Sharon was involved with the author’s commemoration and the establishment of the Ontario museum showcasing her life and works. She was also actively involved with the refurbishment of Parkwood Estate. Sharon has enjoyed a long career in tourism development, event management, and marketing, travelling the world to work with many unique communities and organizations. Her specialization is in tourism related to arts & culture, wellness, sustainability, and outdoor recreation. Sharon has been a permanent resident of Haliburton for 7 years and spent many years in the area as a cottager. Sharon is currently the Director of Events at Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride in Eagle Lake. She joined the ACHH Board in May 2024.
