ELLA LEIS

Ella's life in the arts began at age 4, when she started working in her visual artist grandfather's home studio and traveling with him for shows. She quickly developed a love for the performing arts, training in dance, singing, circus/aerial arts and theatre. Ella is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School, and a founding member of Ctrl-ART-Del Theatre. Favourite roles over the years include Josie Pye in Anne of Green Gables (KWMP), #14 in The Wolves (Ctrl-ART-Del) and originating the role of Screwtape in both the UK and Canadian casts of Cherubs. Her true passion is working with youth in Haliburton County to create art that is accessible, inclusive and representative of the lived experiences of local kids and teens. Outside of work, Ella remains a devoted servant to Cora, Alison, Phoenix, and Percy (the cats).
