
ACHH Member Show at Agnes Jamieson Gallery, Spring 2026
Call For Artists
We are thrilled to announce that members of the Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands are invited to participate in a mixed-media members exhibition at the Agnes Jamieson Gallery in Minden, Ontario, May 28 – July 18th, 2026.

This exhibition is presented in partnership with the Art in Public Spaces Committee of the Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands, the Agnes Jamieson Gallery and Fielding Estate Winery.
To take part, artists must be members of the Arts Council and complete the Call for Artists form by March 27th, 2026. All works will be accepted given they fit the requirements within the entry form.
The Agnes Jamieson Gallery will host a public reception on May 30th, 2026, co-sponsored by Fielding Estate Winery. The Arts Council and the Agnes Jamieson Gallery will promote the exhibition throughout the community.

This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the broad range of high quality art being created by our members in the Haliburton Highlands.

Who Can Enter
​

This exhibition is open to all ACHH members in good standing. If you are not a member, you may become a member before March 27th, 2026 in order to be eligible to participate. Become a member.​​​

All artists must have a signed Art in Public Spaces agreement on file with the Arts Council office. New members will be required to fill out the form.

Each artist may submit one piece of art.

Presentation and Qualification
​

All artwork must be original and includes paintings, wood, metal, ceramics, glass, fibre art, photography and literature. The artwork must not be a copy of another piece.

All artwork, where applicable, must arrive ready to hang with wire attached by D rings or eye hooks only, with the centre of the wire, 3” below the top edge of the frame. Frames must be in good shape.

Unframed work is acceptable provided it had finished edges and is 2 inches or more in depth.

Maximum size for each piece will be 120 inches in perimeter, maximum width of 34 inches including the frame.

Three dimensional pieces must be able to fit on a pedestal approximately 10x10 or 12x12. The gallery does have one plinth that is 16x16. Books must fit on a small tripod frame.

Each piece must have label information attached to the back or the bottom, stating the artist’s name, title of piece, medium, size and price.

The image attached to your work must be of high resolution between 1-5 MB.

There will be an entry fee of $10.00 + HST. Entry fees may be paid through the following methods:

E-transfer: Please send your e-transfer payment of $11.30 to haliburtonarts@haliburtonarts.on.ca. Please complete this form in addition to using your own banking platform to e-transfer the entry fee. You will need to select a security question and answer and share that information with the Arts Council. Suggested Answer: MemberShow

Paying by Cheque: Please complete this form and Submit, then mail cheque for $11.30 to Arts Council ~ Haliburton Highlands, Box 931, 5152 County Rd. 21, Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0 or drop off during office hours (can be slipped under the Arts Council office door - #3).

Paying by Credit Card: By Paypal through the application form.

The artist is responsible for transportation and insurance of the piece to and from the gallery. Please ensure that each piece is properly protected.

The artist will determine the price of each piece of artwork.

The Agnes Jamieson Gallery will retain a commission of 25% for each sold piece of art. The ACHH will wave our usual commission for this show.

The gallery will create artwork labels for each piece.
-
The gallery will provide insurance of the full value of the works of art while exhibiting.

The gallery will create and produce an exhibition catalogue of the art works.

The gallery and the ACHH will promote the exhibition through social media and a variety of other media, ie: radio, newspapers, etc.

The gallery can request that scandalous, obscene or immoral work be removed from the exhibition.

There will be an award for people’s choice.

There will be an opening reception on May 30th, 2026 from 1pm to 3pm at the Agnes Jamieson Gallery.
