HALIBURTON SCHOOL OF ART + DESIGN
In this striking setting you will find a campus that serves the arts, the environment and the local community. HSAD is well-known for its 15-week intensive, in-studio certificates, its visual arts and design diplomas and its extensive summer programming. The dramatic architecture of wood, glass and steel lets artists create their work in natural light. Certificates offered are: Artist Blacksmith, Ceramics, Fibre Arts, Photo Arts, Jewellery Essentials, Glassblowing, Drawing and Painting, Digital Image Design, Moving Image Design, and Sculpture. We also offer two diplomas; Integrated Design diploma and a diploma in Visual and Creative Arts. Both diplomas include one of the certificates above. The campus is also home to environmental education, such as the unique Sustainable Building Design and Construction program, which provides the students with a hands-on opportunity to build a community structure from the ground up using sustainable materials and methods. Haliburton's local community draws on the campus for a wide-ranging variety of continuing education courses as well as academic upgrading.
