The Haliburton County Folk Society strives to foster an appreciation of and participation in folk music
by promoting and supporting folk and acoustic roots music, promoting all forms of music; bringing
performers and audiences together; providing opportunities for local and travelling performers;
encouraging young artists and musicians; providing creative and financial support for music initiatives;
and partnering with other organizations to develop and promote the Highlands. HCFS is an initiative of
Haliburton County Community Cooperative.
