Alan is a traditional oil painter with a passion for Canadian landscapes, wildlife, portraiture and still life. The land and water in the Haliburton Highlands are among his favourite subjects to paint. His studio is on Little Glamor Lake, 20 minutes east of Haliburton. His paintings depict quiet, private places with an air of mystery and intrigue. Alan is a graduate of Academy of Realist Art (ARA) in Toronto, where he learned the secrets of Old Master drawing and painting.
