The following people are standing for election to the Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands Board of Directors at the 2014 AGM:

Kate Butler / Haliburton Highlands Museum

Erin Kernohan-Berning / Haliburton County Public Library

Jennifer Posti / Visual Artist

Renee Woltz / Potter

Expression of Interest:

Kate Butler:  "I feel the Arts Council does important work in bringing the County's arts and heritage sector together and it was brought to my attention that a stronger voice was needed from the Heritage organizations in the area.  I'd be delighted to provide that voice."

Erin Kernohan-Berning:  "I would like to contribute to Haliburton County's thriving arts, culture and heritage community.  Through out my education, volunteer and work experience I have enjoyed collaborating with many individuals and look forward to bringing that with me to the Arts Council Board."

Jennifer Posti:  "I would like to contribute to the Arts in Haliburton.  As an artist myself, it is a passion of mine to see the arts community to thrive locally.  I believe the Arts are an integral part of Haliburton County's economic development both for artists as businesses, and for the economy as a whole in terms of the arts in Haliburton's tourism."

Renee Woltz:  "As a newcomer to the Haliburton Highlands I have been welcomed and encouraged by many individuals and I have benefited from becoming part of such a vibrant Arts community.  I would like to contribute to this amazing community, and I believe that participation in the Arts Council is an excellent way to do this."
