Galleries & Museums
| The Haliburton Highlands are home to a fascinating collection of galleries, museums and historical sites. Galleries feature contemporary and traditional art work, much of it created by local artists. Some of the galleries also display and sell antiques and functional pieces. A number of the galleries have special shows of featured artists, art demonstrations and workshops. The public galleries in Minden and Haliburton offer year-round schedules of exhibits and an incredible variety of educational programs and public events. You can even visit an outdoor gallery in a beautiful forest setting. |

| If you want to learn more about the history and culture of the area, the Highlands have a remarkable selection of community museums and historical sites for you to visit. Displays, archives, documentaries, workshops, demonstrations, historical buildings, heritage gardens, restored historic sites, heritage tours, special events and storytelling are all part of the museums’ efforts to record, interpret, preserve and present the history of the Highlands. |
